A cemetery is located directly in the city. Behind the entrance gate is an alley leading to the ceremonial hall. Through it cemetery can be reached. On 40 by 180 m large plot more than 200 gravestones with Slovak-Hebrew or German-Hebrew inscriptions can be found. Stones have various shapes, one can find simple stelae or elaborated tomb-stones with art- nouveau floral decoration. Among the symbols blessing hands of Kohanim, Levi’s jar, Shield of David weeping willow, doves or garlands of roses appear.
