Memorial plaque is located by the entrance to the former synagogue built in the year 1934. It commemorates 3000 Jewish residents of Žilina who perished in the Holocaust. Only 600 Jews came back. Since the end of the war, the building has been used for cultural and educational pursopes by the city.
